Again the boys continued to be tried out in different positions as part of their continuing development. By all accounts the boys continue to produce fantastic football all over the pitch . Most of the boys managed to get on the score sheet with some excellent goals. Also well done to Matthew & Tom B for going in goal. 24/10/2009 Mossley Hill 1 v 1 Prescot Cables Today was more about learning and development with players rotated and tried out in different positions. Mossley failed to take any of the many chances they created from excellent passing football in the first half. Prescot took the lead against the run of play in the middle of the second half with a well take goal. Matthew scored the equaliser with a great shot from outside the area after beating 3 players to finish 1 v 1. 17/10/2009 Mossley Hill 0 v 1 Marshalls The best game of the Saturday season so far by a mile. This game had everything on show, skill, flair & passion. Both teams went tackle to tackle and the game flowed from end to end with great excitement.Mossley edged the first half but went in at half time all square. The second half continued in much the same vain and could have went either way but in the end Marshalls got the only goal. Well done both teams a truely great game. 10/10/09 Mossley Hill 8 v 0 River Alt The boys started well with sharpe passing football and went into the lead with 2 well taken goals from Liam. The passing and movement was rewarded with further goals for Will and Keenan before Liam scored a further 2 goals . In the second half Wade and Will completed the scoring to win 8 v 0. The boys played with smiles on their faces with some excellent fun goal celebrations with the best performed bt Will. Well done boys. 03/10/09 Mossley Hill 5 v 0 Team Oasis On a cold and very windy morning and with the luxury of 13 players to choose from this was more about everyone getting equal playing time rather than the quality of performance. Tom B got the opening 2 goals and Bobby followed with 2 well taken goals to make the score 4-0 at half time. In the second half players where rotated and tried in different positions and the scoring was completed by Liam for a final score of 5v0. 26/09/09 Mossley Hill 11 v 1 Fur & Feather The boys played fantastic fast free flowing football. Alex opened the scoring with a sweet strike from 20 yards quickly followed by goals from Ethan*2 and Liam on his debut. The second half saw Ethan and Liam complete their hat tricks both scoring 4. Will scored with a (Cahill) header and Matthew completed the scoring celebrating (Usan Bolt) style. Special mention goes to Tom whose unselfishness created several goals. 19/09/09 Mossley Hill 5 v 0 Woolton Rovers A fantastic all round team performance, the best this season. The team worked hard and the passing and movement was a delight to watch. Mossley went in at half time 3-0 up through well taken goals from Wade*2 and Tom finishing off fast free flowing moves. In the second half Saul was called upon to make a couple of brave saves before Ethan scored 2 individual goals to make the final score 5 v 0 to Mossley. 12/09/09 Mossley Hill 5 v 2 Xavs Juniors An excellent start to the season with some great fast passing football in the first half. Mossley quickly went 3-0 up with a first half hat trick from the impressive Wade. The second half was more of an even contest with further well taken Mossley goals from Will and Ethan and 2 consolation goals for Xavs who to their credit never gave up. We again started the 2nd half well, but they hit is on the counter attack to score the 2nd/3rd goals finishing off good moves. To their credit the boys nevergave up and both Will & Wade were excellent. Well Done Woolton. 08/11/2009 Team Oasis 2 v 1 Mersey Celtic (Cup Game) This game was in doubt right up until kick off. The wet muddy conditions under foot never suited are fast free flowing style of football. To the boys credit they had to adapt quickly and compete against strong/competitive opposition whilst still playing attractive football. Wade & Will scored finishing off neat/tidy moves in the first half. Tom was excellent in goal all game in difficult conditions. Well done to both teams for a great cup tie. 25/10/2009 Team Oasis 3 v 1 CM Mags With only 8 players available today and no goalie or manager the boys put in a brilliant team performance. Will & Jay (who was sick) where fantastic both going in goal for a half. We went in at half time 2 v 1 up with goals from Liam & Keenan. In the 2nd half Matty added the third to finish 3 v 1 winners. All the boys where magnificent showing a great attitude as some had to play out of position. Well Done boys a great team effort. 18/10/2009 Team Oasis 1 v 1 AC Woolton Wow ! What a fantastic game of football, both teams gave 100% and were a credit to their clubs with great football and sportsmanship on show. Woolton lead 1 v 0 at half time. We came back strong in the second half and equalised with a great finish from Will. The game could have went either way with some great saves, hit posts and missed chances before the final whistle. Well done a great advertisment for junior football. 11/10/09 Team Oasis 4 v 1 Kingsley This was a great advertisment for junior football with great skill. passing and passion on show. The opposition took the lead against the run of play. Just before half time Liam equalised finishing off a great passing move to go in at half time all square. After the break the boys went up a gear and where rewarded with a second goal for Liam quickly followed with goals from Wade and Will Well done boys excellent display and well done Kingsley. 04/10/09 Team Oasis 4 v 1 Woolton Villa After a scrappy opening 10 mins the boys got into their stride and played some excellent one touch passing football. Wade opened the scoring quickly followed by further goals from Leon and Ethan to lead 3 v 0 at half time. Alex added a fourth before conceding a consilation goal to the opposition. The boys contined to play great fast free flowing football with many one/two's and lots of movement off the ball. Well done boys final score 4v1. 27/09/09 Team Oasis 2 v 0 Woolton Wanderers Again with no goalie and only 8 players this was always going to be atough contest. The boys started brightly and had the best of the opening exchanges and where rewarded with a goal from Ethan after a scamble in the oppositions penalty area. Bobby scored the second before half time after another scramble. The final score remained 2-0 despite Leon hitting the bar 3 times. Well done Will & Bobbi for going in goal. 20/09/09 Team Oasis 0 V 4 Mersey Celtic With no goalie today and only able to start the game with 7 boys the odds were stacked against us.The boys started well and Leon was unlucky to hit the post before the opposition took the lead and we soon went 0-2 down. In the second half we continued to press for a goal but several good efforts sailed over/wide before being caught on the counter attack and conceded 2 goals to lose 0-4. Well done Matthew & Will for going in goal. 13/09/09 Team Oasis 0 v 0 Warner Cal A game that everything except goals. Again we dominated the first half but failed to convert the chances we created through great saves, poor finishing and no luck. The second half was more even with tough tackling and hard work from both teams. Warner could have snatched victory late only for Tom to pull off a series of world class saves to keep the score 0 v 0 at the final whistle. 06/09/2009 Team Oasis 1 v 1 Speke Parklands The season started with a hard fought draw against a well organised and hard working team. We started the better of the two teams creating several chances which we failed to take due their excellant keeper and lack of composure in front of goal. Keenan opened the scoring early in the the second half only for the oppostion to equalise with a well taken goal. We continued to press for the winner hitting the post and the bar but in the end we had to settle for a draw.
